Listening to: Michael Buble (concert on TV)
A few days before leaving for China and I’m already missing my bed! Anyways… Since my summer vacation started three weeks ago, I haven’t done anything good with my time yet so I decided to create this network. Somewhere I can learn maybe a few things more about the net. Okay, so I already took html classes back in highschool and I’ve also taken ITF (c/o Sir Ed XD) in Adamson, but I guess I just want to be able to prove myself in Lasalle and say that ‘Yes, I did learn these things from SJA & Adamson’. I’m a bit concerned with having to cope with all my other major subjects though, it’s just that the only computer-related subjects I was able to take (need I say, learn) in Adamson were ITC and ITF - not enough for me to have an edge against all my other subjects. With that said, I’m going back to my TV program now.
There IS some good at Starbucks
Don’t get me wrong, I love Starbucks. The only bad thing about Starbucks - well at least for me - is the price. I love coffee though so I don’t mind that much!
Okay so earlier I saw this video from Yahoo! about people setting on a chain of “nice-ness”. It started at a Starbucks drive-through in Pennsylvania when a lady decided to buy a cup of coffee and asked the barista to give it to the person on the car next to hers. And incredibly, the man decided to buy coffee for the guy next to him and it went on and on. Smiles were passed on to over a hundred customers in two hours! Wish people would do that here in the Philippines too!
What a way to celebrate Christmas! Happy Holidays everyone!

back in the game
A little earlier I went to a nearby court to play badminton with my tita. It’s been long since I last did any real physical activity so I was not sure if I would still be able to play fair enough without having to break a bone or two. The internet, I must admit, is very entertaining - not to mention the features that a computer can provide on its own. You can find almost anything with a computer and the internet, but nothing beats a good old physical challenge.
Asus Eee PC
This is probably one of the hottest in this year’s Christmas wishlists! And I definitely want to have one too. I’m thinking of selling my PSP Slim to get this one, but I’d still be a couple of pesos off even if I’d manage to sell it. I’m regretting that I bought that Slim immediately when it got to the market! I would have saved thousands! Anyway, I don’t really need the laptop for anything as of now, I just want it! haha!

So lately - because of my schedule which consists mostly of sleeping, web surfing, eating then sleeping again - I found myself trying new stuff.
I have been introduced to Adobe Photoshop just last semester when I joined a small web developing team for our school. I joined without really knowing what I could do for the team. I had a lot of ideas for articles to post but I just wasn’t sure if I was up to that kind of thing, then I thought maybe I could try out as a graphics artist - problem was, I could hardly even draw a cartoon dog. As it turned out, I was made both graphics artist and article writer because there were only nine of us.
In three months I was able to submit - I think - five articles and twenty drawings. I was asked to make anime copies of the teachers in the Computer Science Department, the drawings turned out well with a little help from my highschool friend. But that was all they were, scanned plain black and white sketches. Then one of the advisers of the team showed me how I could use Photoshop.
He showed me some of the basics - brush, blur, smudge, burn, dodge and sponge. With a little reading from the thousands of tutorials on the internet, now I find myself addicted to making CGs - though I’m still not sure if that’s what it’s called. Anyway, I know I still have A LOT to learn, but with barely four months of experience on Photoshop, I am pretty satisfied with my drawings. I have heard once from my teacher about a graphics tablet, having seen artworks made with it on deviantart, I just can’t help but wish for one. But I don’t know, I don’t really think that my drawings are qualified already for me to want a graphics tablet this early.
Here are some of the drawings I made last night:

Blogging with sense… hopefully.
I have been blogging for almost three years now, and I must say that none of my posts have ever had any sense at all. Though my other blog is for my personal use only, I wanted it to have more visitors - but who would ever want to read about my life anyway?
So far, I have five active blogs - counting this in. Three of them under one account in Blogger and one on Multiply. I wanted to try something new and decided to make an account here on WordPress.
Because I’m making this blog public, I can’t - or at least I’ll try not to - discuss about my personal life. I really still don’t know what kind of things to discuss about. It will probably be about gadgets and other stuff connected to computers. Though I can’t say that I am tech-savvy because I don’t really know all that many tech terms by heart and I only own ONE ‘up to date’ gadget, which is my PSP Slim - that’s about it aside from my four year old PC, a Nokia cellphone and a Motorola Razr.
Okay, so I really can’t refrain from talking about myself (how vain is that?!
- don’t worry, I won’t go too deep with this?). I am currently a Computer Science student, previously a Nursing student, who has no idea when I’ll get to finish college! It’s not that I’m not determined and all that, I just haven’t found the right school for me yet. I studied for a while in a small medical college Nursing, and decided I really didn’t want to be a nurse, transferred to a university to take up computer science. As it turns out, the university didn’t have much to offer for me when it comes to facilities. Right now, I’m waiting for my entrance exam to another university, and I AM determined to study there - I think it is the best one so far that offers Computer Science here in the Philippines
So that’s about it for now, I hope this blog works out just fine.
